The GSA will be working with Green Shield Canada to deliver an improved Health, Dental and Accident Plan (the “Plan”) starting September 1st, 2014. The Plan enhancements are based on the feedback from plan members. New to the Plan this year is IUD coverage, and paramedical coverage at $20/visit to a $300 combined maximum for chiropractic, massage, naturopath, physiotherapy, speech therapy, and psychology. Also the dental maximum is increasing from $600 to $750.

Our website has been updated to reflect the new coverage details and prices. Visit benefits and making a claim to learn about how to use your coverages. If you already have comparable coverage, you can request to leave the Plan and get a refund (opt-out). Refunds will occur in mid to late October by a credit to your student account. You must complete the opt-out process by October 3, 2014.

Students who wish to add their children and/or spouses to the plan may do so by filling out a form, and bringing cash, certified cheque or money order to the GSA Office. You must complete the opt-in process by October 3, 2014.
