The Community Garden Coordinator, along with a crew of dedicated volunteers, have prepared the previously relocated garden beds for the 2015 growing season.
The GSA has prepared a simple and cost-effective proposal to complete the relocation of Kitiganensag. The goal of the proposal is to ensure that the amount of gardening space in the new garden is comparable to that of the original location. Previously, Senior Administration at Carleton University has agreed in principle that the relocated garden should have comparable growing space.
The GSA has met with Facilities Management and Planning and has a meeting with Senior Administration scheduled. It is anticipated that new garden beds will be ready by the end of June. These additional beds will greatly expand the number of plots available.
