Accessibility Policy
Policy Statement
The GSA Carleton Inc. is committed to meeting the accessibility needs of people with disabilities in a timely manner, in alignment with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). We strive to ensure that our programs, services, and communications are accessible to everyone.
When asked, we will provide information about our organization and its services, including public safety information, in accessible formats or with communication supports:
- a) in a timely manner, taking into account the person’s accessibility needs due to disability; and
- b) at a cost that is no more than the regular cost charged to other persons.
We will consult with the person making the request in determining the suitability of an accessible format or communication support.
1. Assistive Devices
We welcome individuals to use their own personal assistive devices to access our services.
2. Communication
We are committed to communicating with people with disabilities in ways that consider their specific needs. Information can be made available in accessible formats or with communication support upon request. We can arrange for accessible feedback and alternate formats upon request
3. Service Animals & Support Persons
People with disabilities may bring service animals and support persons to participate in our programs and access our services.
4. Training
All employees, volunteers, and contractors will receive training on AODA requirements and our accessibility policies relevant to their roles.
5. Employment
We are committed to fair and accessible employment practices. Accommodation is available during recruitment, selection, and employment.
6. Feedback Process
