The GSA Health Leave Grant is designed to provide financial support for full-time or part-time Masters and PhD students who require academic leave for mental or physical health reasons. Only those students that were granted academic leave for mental or physical health issues are eligible to apply for the Health Leave Grant. To be considered for the grant, applicants must demonstrate financial need.
Nominees must be members of the GSA. All information on this form will be kept confidential.
Application opens March 21st 2025 and closes April 7th, 2025.

The Award
The GSA Health Leave Grant is for a one-time amount of $1500.00.
Selection Procedure
The committee charged with administering the award is the GSA Grants and Awards
Committee.
Application Procedure:
Applicants must submit:
A completed and signed application form
A cover letter (1 pages) outlining reasons for eligibility.
Certificate of enrolment generated within two weeks of application submission
Any relevant documentation pertaining to the request for health leave.
Applications will not be considered until all required documentation has been received..
