The GSA Emergency Grant of up to $500 is designed to assist graduate students in dire financial need due to unforeseen circumstances, such as illness, fire, theft, or family emergency. The GSA Emergency Grant is not a loan, and thus need not be repaid.


Applicants must provide the following information: reason(s) for application; budgetary outline of applicant, including income and expenses; detailed information concerning the anticipated use of any potential grant by the applicant; any relevant documentation pertaining to the emergency; and a list of other organizations or bodies to which the applicant has made requests for funds, including details of any funds attained or reasons given for the denial of funds.
