The GSA has created a number of grants to support Black Carleton Graduate students. Please see below and apply accordingly:

GSA Black Livelihood Grants

8 X $250

Eligibility: any Black Carleton Graduate Student who feels that $250 would create an alleviation of financial hardships.

How will grant recipients be chosen: 10 students are randomly chosen out of all applicants that show financial need.

All applicants will be notified upon their application by the end of May as a new Grants and Awards Committee will be formed. 

GSA Black Academic Grant

$1000

Eligibility: any Black Carleton Graduate Student who has been nominated by a community member or by themself based on their commitment to community oriented research.

How will grant recipients be chosen: GSA Grant committee will evaluate each application and nomination and select one recipient.

All applicants will be notified upon their application by the end of May as a new Grants and Awards Committee will be formed. 

GSA Black Community Pillar Grant

$1000

Eligibility: any Black Carleton Graduate Student who has been nominated by a community member or by themself based on their commitment to community service or organizing.

How will grant recipients be chosen: GSA Grant committee will evaluate each application and nomination and select two recipients. 

All applicants will be notified upon their application by the end of May as a new Grants and Awards Committee will be formed.
