The GSA Indigenous Student Award was created to help alleviate the financial burdens Indigenous students incur while obtaining university degrees. Applicants must be members of the GSA. Eligibility

Applicants must be a member of the GSA.

Applicants must be Indigenous students.

Applicants must show proof of student status in a PhD or Masters program.

Selection Procedure
The committee charged with administering the award is the GSA Grants and Awards
Committee.
Applications will be assessed based on cumulative grade point average (CGPA) in the
program of study.
Application procedure
Applicants must submit:
4.1. A completed application form.
4.2. Certificate of enrolment generated within two weeks of application submission.
4.3. Most recent transcript.
4.4. One academic reference letter.
4.5. A cover letter (1 pages) outlining reasons for eligibility.
4.6. Applications will not be considered until all required documentation has been received.
